Membership Criteria
To ensure credibility of the association, TECNZ members must commit to and ensure they operate with integrity, professionalism and offer quality products and services at all times.
All Members must abide by the Tourism Export Council of New Zealand Code of Ethics and Practice alongside the Constitution and Rules. Inbound Members must successfully meet the Qualmark accreditation criteria for Endorsed Inbound Tour Operators and Allied Members must maintain a recognised standard of quality, e.g. Qualmark.
When signing up to become a member, please ensure you tick all the checkboxes below:
Inbound Member:
☐ Payment of $100 + GST ($115) being the application fee. This will be treated as a processing fee and is non-refundable. When membership applications are approved the annual fee payment of $2,925 plus GST (2024/2025) is required.
☐ A product brochure or URL link to your website
☐ Copies of staff qualifications
☐ Copy of Public Liability and Professional indemnity Insurance certificate
☐ Letters of support from two x Tourism Export Council Allied members (Click here for a full list of current Allied supplier members). These letters need to be emailed to info@tourismexportcouncil.org.nz separately from the completed application form.
☐ A letter from an external independent chartered accountant
☐ Signed declaration from you, witnessed by an Officer of the Court (Justice of the Peace)
☐ Request a copy of Current Health & Safety at Work 2015 Act Plan (To the fullest extent permitted by law, all users of this site agree to indemnity the Tourism Export Council of New Zealand (TECNZ) against any loss, liability, claim or cost suffered or incurred by TECNZ arising directly or indirectly from, or as a consequence of, the user’s use of this site and/or any reliance on information or documents hosted on this site, and/or from the engagement of any tourism operator referred to on this site).
Allied Member:
☐ Payment of $100 + GST ($115) being the application fee. This will be treated as a processing fee and is non-refundable. When membership applications are approved the annual fee payment of $875 plus GST (<50FTEs) / $1,400+GST (>50FTEs) for 2024/2025 is required.

☐ Copy of Current Health & Safety at Work 2015 Act Plan (Preferred)
